Do you have it all ?

The story is told of an artist who was a unique craftsman. He was also a good business man and did well selling his works.  He taught his son his craft and business skills and together they built an empire buying, selling and collecting art.  They build their own gallery and traveled the world finding and collecting rare works and valuable pieces.

The time came when the son was drafted while the country was at war.  Not long after the father received a message that the son was killed in battle.  Soon after he had a visitor come and introduce himself as the soldier who was saved by his son while being carried to the medic. The soldier had made a portrait of the son just hours before his death and presented it to the father. The father was so touched that he put his sons picture in the main entrance hall of the gallery.

After many years the father decided to auction the entire collection and put out a world wide add of the time and place where it would be held.  Collectors came from far and wide sometimes for even just a glimpse of the rare sights.  When the action started the first thing to go up was the portrait of the son.  Naturally no one was interested in this picture but were all anxious to get on with the main pieces to be sold.  The father determined that his sons picture must go first. He asked who would buy his sons picture for $100.00 US. After a lag time a friend of the fathers son said he would purchase the portrait.

After he made the transaction, to the consternation of the crowd, the announcement was made that the auction was over. The people were hysterical and outraged. What was the meaning of the short auction sale.  The father stood up and explained that whoever was to buy the sons portrait would also get the rest of the entire collection included with it.  The person would get everything and the collection would stay together under one who respected the father.

So it is with the Eternal Life.  Whoever has God’s Son has life. Whoever does not have the Son does not have Life.  1 John 5:11
There will be a new heaven and a new earth.  All sorrow and death and pain will be gone forever.  Rev 21:1-4
